Beer “Holsters”: Helpful Festive Alcohol Consumption Devices

Playing off a western good ole boys theme I created simple and cumbersome accessories to help with the consumption of alcohol. I started to create these pieces during my internship at The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center in West Rutland Vermont (6/14-8/14). The inspiration for the pieces coming from the location that I resided in and is best described as a “post industrial wonderland”. I saw these pieces modeled in that location by the locals who themselves were a key component of the wonderland. The town was small and depressing, focusing much of the wonder on it’s industrial past.
