Heritage Headphones

Heritage Headphones
Media: Heritage barn wood, copper, leather, bronze, various hardware and electronic components (functioning headphone speakers)
Date completed: 4/14
The most significant part of this piece is the use of old wood from my Grandfather’s barn. I made an audio piece to play through these head phones, sounds of old wood being torn apart. I also finished the wood in a respectful manner as to keep the originality of the wear and tear. The inside portions were wet sanded and have been finished with antique oil.
The piece does not adjust and therefore needs to be held in place, the smooth finished wood is meant to make the experience more enjoyable.
