My brother backed up into the grill of my car, twice, by the second time it was basically destroyed. I decided 1/8th inch metal should be used to make a new grill. It would withstand another accident better than the plastic factory grill. The wooden slats (green pieces) are bolted in place. This is so that they could be taken off and replaced in case of an accident and to do regular maintenance
